I did think that stopping it there felt a little cruel! However, it was either that, or have nine issues instead of ten and, for some weird reason, I had my mind set on ten.
I'm so glad you are still enjoying it and hope the ending is satisfactory when it arrives (I think I mentioned before that some of the characters are destined for other tales too?). As I have uploaded and checked through these chapters, I've skimmed over the text and reread some of it and, yes, I am proud of it. For something that began as a small exercise, it definitely grew into a tale which became, well, more, I guess. I love it when stories do that when, no matter how tight the plan and outline, they morph into A Thing Grander. There really is true magic in fiction.
On the point of staying up late reading, I'm now on the final novel of The Wheel of Time, and it is a struggle to put it down. I have some thoughts on these final novels, but think I'll save them for the newsletter!
I genuinely don’t know what to say. Just... wow. Honestly. So fantastic.
This is that point in a story where, even if you’re up too late already with a big day tomorrow, you couldn’t possibly stop reading.
And I have to wait a week! You should be so, so proud of this story. The pacing is so great... even though it’s killing me you stopped it there!
I can’t wait for the conclusion.
