I selfishly was hoping for more tips on manifesting 🙃 it is hard to calculate how far money can take you, and honestly the most expensive thing is lodging.

I am attempting long term travel now but money is an existential concern that I cant overcome except by taking a break to make more money and plan my life better. Living on faith alone is stressing me out!

You’ve probably already looked into it, but have you considered house or pet sitting? It is possible to save a LOT of money that way, whilst also living somewhere more real than you would otherwise, a part of a local community for a few weeks or months. It also goes hand in hand with working online, allowing you to use a home-away-from-home base to work, but also giving you the chance to see somewhere new to you. It is remarkable how many people in different corners of the world need people to look after their property and pets!

YES I HAVE. I was running low on money and couldnt afford to sign up for Rover, a pet sitting app. But I also dont drive, and so felt limited in that. In order to house sit you still have to pay a monthly fee for these websites people use. But it's free so I'm not making money house sitting, though I'm saving a lot on lodging.

I also dont like dogs. Which is the prime target for pet sitting. I prefer cats. If I can get over my fear of snakes and birds, I'd rather do "exotic pets" (animals that should be outside) over dogs.

I am taking a break because I ran out of money and looking to get into pet care in some way so I can have more experience than just I Like Cats.

I also do not drive and, yes, that can cause issues! And the money thing is also always an issue.

It sounds like you have a sensible plan to follow, gaining that experience to help on the next step of the journey.

Personally, when I had made the decision to leave my home nation, I began to use that time before the travel itself to really look hard at where I was at the time, as though I was a traveller in my own town. I found that not only helped once I left, but also helped with feeling as though I was already travelling, in a sense.
