Every now and then, I spend some time thinking about why a date seems so important, only to eventually reassure myself there is nothing in my timeline to date that marks it particularly. Perhaps I should start a Future Ghost Date Diary, noting these instances, and saving them for when those missing jigsaw pieces finally click into place.
I sometimes wonder if there is someone who has a ghost date for every week of the year. I suppose there must be, especially in the age of social media (one of the reasons I found Facebook difficult was due to birthday reminders for dead friends. I then made the mistake of unfriending them, only to have FB constantly ask me if I knew them. It felt quite painful at times).

This is a fantastic idea, and a great way to prove that time can move in different directions to that which we assume it always does... DO IT!
I love the idea of ghost dates, I’ve never thought about it that way before

Ach, that's really sad
It was but, to be fair to FB, I've heard they've got better at this. That said, I don't really use it and haven't for a long time, so can't confirm!
