I love your writing, photography and recounts of experiences in the inner and outer landscape, in and out of the woods 👏
A paragraph in this newsletters got me fired up to share with you too 🌹
Mired in despair, stuck in the mud, feeling impaired by world events in spring dwells to recount on the synchronosophy* of an inner event which mirrors the outer.
Feeling stuck, impaired, despair repairs in lento what can not separate.
* grateful @veronikabond for sharing this beautiful word: "synchronosophy".
Many thanks for this! As is always the way, once I actually sent out another letter my reader count dropped again, below 1500, then climbed, then dropped once more! Not sure what it is now, I try not to look at it too often, but I do find this method: the slow and steady three steps up, two steps back, is actually the best for solid growth here. It feels more real this way, in that I really don't want people to stay on my list if it isn't bringing something to them.
I learnt about synchronosophy from Veronika Bond too! It has been interesting, to see so many people reflecting world events through their day to day notes (whether here, or on e.g. Instagram). That despair seems a feeling certain powers that be are only too happy to encourage, another reason I am glad to step out from under the weight of world news, breathe the forest air, and feel more alive because of it. (This is not to say I do not care about the suffering of others, I very much do, but I do not think constant exposure to it helps my mental state, at all. Better to study a flower, or the bark of a tree, or the scuff on a trail where a deer passed earlier.)
Celebration time 👍congratulations 🥳 Alexander!
