This early summer is settling into a comfortable rhythm. After the wettest and greyest April and May many people remember here, June has rediscovered the sun.
Early morning is wrapped in the cloaked chill of the mountain, heavier cool air descending but, as the sun tops the eastern ridge, it brings an ascent of temperatures which is very welcome. By the time we eat lunch outdoors, the mercury is pushing into the mid-20s (70s in F) in the shade.
